Rory has developed a fine reputation as a pianist and arranger known for rich harmonic chord structures, melodic ideas and strong time.
During his career he has travelled performing and recording with some of the finest names in music locally and internationally. Some career highlights include performing live on The Hamish and Andy show (Fox FM), headlining NYE at Republica and performing in the film trailer for author Bryce Courtenay’s last book Fortune Cookie.
Rory grew up in a musical family and showed considerable promise from a very early age. Inspired to play piano by his father, a highly regarded jazz saxophonist, he began formal music studies aged eleven. In 2004, Rory attended a master class in New York City at with the legendary pianist McCoy Tyner.
Rory has a passion for marketing, gaining broad business experience with blue-chip companies in retail, fast food, automotive, real estate, Information and communications technology and education. Rory has previous experience with building a Not-For-Profit company from inception (The University of Melbourne Dental Clinic) as well as complimentary skills in music and marketing led Rory to become a founding member of Rewire where he looks forward to making a difference to people’s lives.
